With the showdown over the Waqf Act escalating, BJP is planning to launch a campaign to address the concerns of the Muslim community. Party leaders will go on a door-to-door campaign to explain the benefits of the law while refuting the claims of the Opposition.

The exercise is aimed to ease the pressure faced by NDA allies, especially JDU in Bihar, over supporting the Waqf (Amendment) Bill. Keeping in mind the upcoming Bihar assembly elections, BJP's campaign will focus on the state.

BJP has also formed a task force and training workshops will be organised for the party leaders. The task force comprises four leaders: BJP general secretaries Dushyant Gautam and Radha Mohan Das Agarwal, minority morcha head Jammal Siddique and BJP leader Anil Antony. To ensure that BJP leaders are fully prepared to go to the public and engage with them over the Waqf Act, BJP is also planning to organise a workshop which would be attended by Union minister Kiren Rijiju and several other Cabinet ministers.

The workshop would explain the facts and important points of the law so that BJP leaders can answer the concerns and questions of the minority community. Several MPs and leaders from Bihar will also organise a similar workshop on the issue.

For BJP allies, the Waqf Act has become a point of concern as the Opposition has been projecting it as anti-minority while some of these NDA members depend on support from Muslims in several states. So to fight this perception battle against the Opposition, BJP has planned this awareness campaign.
