BJP plans Modi rallies in Maharashtra, eyes 100 seats

MUMBAI: The Maharashtra BJP believes the party will storm to power in Maharashtra if PM Narendra Modi campaigns for it in next month’s assembly polls.

In the run up to the LS polls, Modi had addressed 15 rallies in Maharashtra, all of them were massive crowd-pullers and the effect was seen in the results, where the Sena-BJP and its allies won 42 seats out of the 48 seats. The state BJP is now planning an encore for the forthcoming state polls and planning at least rallies to be addressed by Modi.

“Our trump card is Modi, during the LS polls, he addressed 15 meetings. We are planning to have a similar number now, as he has tremendous pull among people,” said a senior BJP leader.
