BJP plans Jan Ashirwad Yatras to step up outreach in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh

The BJP plans to start Jan Ashirwad Yatras in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh from five different locations in September BJP aims to inform the citizens about the work done by the central government and the state government before the state polls.

Elections for 230-member Madhya Pradesh assembly polls are likely to be held in November this year.
The BJP has planned a mega outreach programme via Jan Ashirwad Yatras starting from five different locations covering each assembly segment to activate the party workers and galvanise the ground support in its favour, sources said.

The Jan Ashirwad Yatras will start from the first week of September and will start from five locations in different regions which could be Gwalior in Chambal, Jabalpur in Mahakaushal, Ujjain in Malwa region and others, they said.

These yatras will conclude in Bhopal on September 25 with a massive rally in Bhopal and it will be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, they said.


At the start of yatra it is expected that all key leaders, including state chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, BJP state unit chief VD Sharma, Union Ministers Jyotiraditya Scindia, Narendra Singh Tomar and Prahlad Patel, and party general secretary Kailash Vijaywargiya will be present, party leaders said.

Several other leaders, including Faggan Singh Kulaste and Narottam Mishra, are also expected, they said.

Each yatra will aim to cover at least 40 assembly seats to ensure they are able to reach out to all 230. Party leaders said it will highlight the achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

With months left for assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, BJP has decided to step up its people outreach efforts to inform citizens about the work done by the Modi government at the Centre and the BJP government in the state, party leaders said.

Elections for 230-member Madhya Pradesh assembly polls are likely to be held in November this year. Ruling BJP is in direct contest with Congress in the state where it has been in power for four terms.
