BJP part of government in Arunachal Pradesh
The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh V. Shanmuganathan administered the oath of office and secrecy to the new minister.

The BJP has been lending outside support to the Pema Khandu led government in Arunachal. BJP MLA Tamiyo Taga was sworn-in to the State Cabinet of Arunachal Pradesh on Friday.

The BJP has been refraining from joining the government. A senior BJP leader told ET, “We are looking for as many as four cabinet berths.”
The Convener of NDA’ floated anti congress political grouping of political parties, Northeast Democratic Alliance (NEDA), Himanta Biswa Sarma, “We are part of government with the induction of Taga we want to assure that we stand firmly behind the government.”
He added, “We are not much concerned about the number of cabinet berths we get in the Khandu ministry.”
With the BJP’s entry in government in Arunachal, BJP is in power in fourteenth states across the country and in six states shares power with regional party.
PPA is partner in NDA floated NEDA. Last month in a dramatic turnaround, Congress government in Arunachal Pradesh which was reinstated two month back following the Supreme Court verdict proved short lived as 43 out 44 congress MLAs joined PPA.
