The two-days national executive meeting of BJP will begin at the NDMC centre in Delhi on Monday afternoon. This is going to be the first national executive meeting after the recent assembly elections. BJP national president JP Nadda will also be granted an extension during the meeting. Nadda's tenure as a president is ending on January 20.

"Before the national executive, there will be a meeting of all the national office-bearers, state presidents and state general secretaries (organisation) of the BJP at the party office on Monday morning," Vinod Tawde, BJP general secretary, told media persons in Delhi.

Sources told ET that, after the record victory of the BJP in Gujarat, the party leaders and workers are planning a grand welcome for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. PM Modi is likely to hold a road show at the start of the national executive meeting.


Around 35 Union ministers, 12 chief ministers, five deputy CMs, 37 state presidents, 27 state general secretaries along with 350 party leaders across the country will deliberate on several issues.
