BJP names mayor candidates for forthcoming local body polls

BHOPAL: The ruling BJP in Madhya Pradesh declared the names of its candidates today, for the Mayor's post for the ten municipal bodies elections scheduled to be held in two phases on November 28 and December 2.

MP State BJP president Nandkumar Singh Chouhan announced the names during press conference in the BJP office which included Vivek Shejwalkar for Gwalior, Abhay Dube for Sagar, Mamata Gupta for Rewa, Mamata Pandey for Satna, Premwati Khairwar for Singrauli and Shashank Shrivastava for Katni.

The BJP has fielded Subhash Kothari from Khandwa, Anil Bhonsle from Burhanpur and Subhash Sharma from Dewas and Sunita Yarde from Ratlam.

The polls for Indore Municipal Corporation have been deferred because of a high court order.
