SULTANPUR (UP): BJP MP Varun Gandhi today "reprimanded" the chief medical officer of the district over "absence" of doctors at a community health centre.

On the first day of a three-day visit to his parliamentary constituency, Varun was informed about the alleged poor state of the centre at Motigarpur village by the local residents, MP's media in-charge Vijay Singh Raghuvanshi, said.

Following complaint Varun inspected the centre and found that no doctor was present there, he said.

Raghuvanshi said that the MP then contacted CMO, K B Singh over phone and reprimanded him.

Varun launched Prime Minister Jan Dhan Yojna in Bandhuakalan, Jaisinghpur and Motigpur and distributed equipments to physically-challenged people in Bagia village.
