“Congress has brought up the Rafale matter only to protect people like Sanjay Bhandari, Sudhir Choudhrie and Sunder Mulchandani,” the MP said.
Alleging that Congress is fighting the Rafale ‘war’ at the behest of arms dealers, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey named alleged middlemen in defence deals in his Lok Sabha speech on Friday.

The second-time Member of Parliament from Jharkhand alleged that the “daamaad (son-in-law)” whom he identified as RV had contacts with alleged middleman Sanjay Bhandari. According to the BJP MP, Bhandari had received commission for a deal to supply Pilatus basic trainers to the Indian Air Force when the UPA was in power. “There is a benami property in London that belongs to RV. What is its relation with Congress? There was a Pilatus company) was given a 2.5% commission,” Dubey alleged.

He also named businessman Sudhir Choudhrie, who he alleged is related to the Madhya Pradesh chief minister and is the `agent’ for Eurofighter. It may be recalled that Eurofighter lost out to Rafale in the final price competition in 2012.

The BJP leader also named one ‘Suresh Mulchandani’, which he later changed to ‘Sunder Mulchandani’. Dubey alleged that Mulchandani was linked to a Congress treasurer and was an agent for the Gripen fighter jet manufactured by Sweden’s SAAB. Dubey also named one ‘Sushen Gupta’ who he said also had links to Congress.

“Congress has brought up the Rafale matter only to protect people like Sanjay Bhandari, Sudhir Choudhrie and Sunder Mulchandani,” the MP said.
