“We brought to the Election Commission’s notice the statement of Rahul Gandhi yesterday [Friday] in Solan [Himachal Pradesh] that if Modi becomes prime minister there would be massacre of 22,000 people. Kumar, who led a delgation to Chief Election Commissioner VS Sampath, said the alleged remark was “uncalled for and breach of model code of conduct”.

The BJP “urged the CEC to take serious note of it and restrain Rahul Gandhi from giving such statements,” he said, adding that the “CEC assured us that appropriate action will be taken after looking into it.”
