NEW DELHI: Delhi BJP legislators today met Lt Governor Najeeb Jung and sought his intervention in alleged "malfunctioning" of the Kejriwal government.

"The BJP MLAs met Lt Governor of Delhi Najeeb Jung at Raj Niwas to apprise him how malfunctioning of the Kejriwal Government has brought development works in Delhi to a complete halt," Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta said.

The delegation apprised Jung how "a series of unconstitutional decisions and steps" taken by Kejriwal Government have resulted in "demoralization" of Officers, Gupta said.

"The Lt Governor was also apprised that the Kejriwal Government is in a mood to get rid of Central government officers posted with the Delhi Government at senior positions by replacing IAS and DANICS cadre by its own officers," he said.

Gupta alleged in the meeting that the Delhi government is "falsely propagating" suspension of two DANICS cadre officials, who refused to sign files.

"Despite media publicity, the government has not actually suspended them. They are performing their duties till date without any interruption," he alleged.
