The judicial custody of BJP MLA Suresh Rana, arrested for allegedly inciting communal violence in Muzaffarnagar has been extended till November 20.

MUZAFFARNAGAR: The judicial custody of BJP MLA Suresh Rana, arrested for allegedly inciting communal violence in Muzaffarnagar by making provocative speeches, has been extended till November 20 by a local court here.

Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Narendra Kumar yesterday extended the judcial custody of the MLA from Thana Bhawan in riot-affected Shamli district for another 14 days.

Rana was arrested in Lucknow on September 20 on charges of making a provocative speech to incite the riots in Muzaffarnagar and adjoining areas, which claimed over 60 lives and displaced thousands of others.
