BJP MLAs complains to LG Najeeb Jung about 8 bills

The trio criticised the 'Delhi School Education (Amendment) Bill, 2015', as being "anti-teachers, anti-students and anti-parents". Leader of opposition Vijender Gupta said: "This is only posturing by the government and it does not seem serious about its work. It is trying to create a situation similar to 2014 when it attempted to introduce the Jan Lokpal Bill in the assembly without the LG's approval. Most of their bills have been objected to by the law department, the chief secretary, etc. And still, they are being tabled. The LG said that he will look into the matter."
On the issue of the education (amendment) bill, he said BJP had welcomed the proposed prohibition on screening procedure for admission in nursery classes, but all other provisions except this need to be rejected.
"The proposed amendments are being introduced without taking into consideration the ground realities. They seek to omit the requirement of prior approval of the Central government for making any rule under Delhi School Education Act, 1973," Gupta said.
The proposal seeks to amend a section that ensures parity of staff, salaries between private schools and government schools. It will lead to their exploitation. Most schools are charging a hefty fee but are not paying teachers the wages they are entitled to," he said.
