NEW DELHI: Four-time BJP MLA from Hari Nagar, Harcharan Singh Balli, who was refused party ticket for the December 4 assembly polls, today joined Congress.

According to party sources, he is all set to get the party ticket tomorrow from Hari Nagar.

Congress had chosen Surender Kumar Setia for the seat but later the party put the decision on hold.

Balli's seat was given by BJP to its NDA ally Shiromani Akali Dal under a seat-sharing agreement.

The Akalis have decided to field BJP councillor Shyam Sharma from the seat, who would be contesting on BJP's symbol 'Lotus'.

Balli, who is the only sitting BJP MLA not renominated by the party, was sulking and held talks with Congress.
