West Bengal assembly election: BJP meet tomorrow to finalise contestants

On Tuesday, a meeting of the BJP’s core group for the West Bengal assembly election met in Delhi. On Wednesday, the party’s West Bengal election committee will meet to prepare a final list of candidates for presenting it before the CEC. “A number of meetings will take place in the coming two days and we will discuss various issues related to the upcoming polls,” Kailash Vijayavargiya, BJP general secretary in charge of West Bengal, told ET.
Preparations are going on in the party for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in West Bengal on March 7. The party’s campaign will intensify after the PM’s rally, said the people cited earlier.
On Tuesday, the party’s core group on Assam also met in Delhi in presence of state election in-charge Narendra Singh Tomar.
