BJP left red faced over power outage at its MP office
BHOPAL: The ruling BJP in Madhya Pradesh was left red faced after a brief power outage at its state office here, precisely when party spokesman Prakash Javdekar began comparing former chief minister Digvijay Singh's 10-year rule with that of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

"People have not forgotten ten years of former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Digvijay's rule. They compare it with current Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's rule," Javdekar said, proceeding to praise BJP rule in the state, just as he was in the process of doing so, the power went off triggering instant laughter and catcalls by reporters.

After BJP joint media in-charge Sanjay Khoche made efforts on a war-footing and restored power within a few minutes, Javadekar said, "The moment I took Digvijay Singh's name, the power went off, reminding us about his rule".

Later, when the matter was brought to Congress General Secretary Digivijay Singh's notice, he quipped, "Now you know what the ground reality is in Madhya Pradesh."
