BJP leaders meet Governor KK Paul, seek resolution of people's problems
BJP leaders submitted a memorandum to Governor, seeking resolution of problems faced by people of the state due to "wrong policies" of Rawat government.

A 17-member BJP delegation led by former chief minister Bhagat Singh Koshiyari met the governor and submitted the memorandum to him, state BJP spokesman Virendra Singh Bisht said.
"We met the governor to draw his attention to matters of public interest such as early resolution of problems being faced by people due to wrong policies laid down by Rawat government," he said.
The memorandum, carrying a 16-point charter of demands, seeks immediate redressal of a slew of problems, including review of the previous government's liquor policy and the increased circle rates which have added to the woes of the common man, the spokesperson said.
"We have long been raising our voice against Rawat government's liquor policy as it was unfair and meant to benefit people close to echelons of power. The increased circle rates were also causing hardship to people," he said.
Apart from Koshiyari, the delegation consisted of state BJP president Ajay Bhatt, former chief minister and Haridwar MP Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, party MLAs Harbans Kapoor, Pushkar Singh Dhami and Vijkaya Barthwal among others.
