BJP leader Uttam Sharma shot dead in Bihar

MUNGER: A local BJP leader was shot dead today by unidentified assailants at a restaurant here.

Uttam Sharma was sitting behind the cash counter at his restaurant when two assailants came in and shot at him from close range, Superintendent of Police Barun Kumar Sinha said.

He died on the spot. The deceased BJP leader had a running feud with some arms smugglers, the SP said, adding a probe was on in the matter.

Sharma was the district vice-president of BJP's Yuva Morcha.
