BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi undergoes knee-replacement surgery at AIIMS

NEW DELHI: Senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi has been admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) where he has undergone a knee-replacement surgery.

"The leader was admitted on September 9 and underwent a right knee-replacement surgery. He is admitted in a private ward under the Department of Orthopaedics at the AIIMS," a senior doctor at the AIIMS here said.

"His condition is stable. He is recovering well and is expected to be discharged in a day or two," the doctor said.

Joshi, 82, is a Lok Sabha MP from Kanpur.
