BJP is anti-dalit: Jammu & Kashmir’s expelled former MLA

Former BJP legislator from Jammu, Gagan Bhagat — who was expelled from the party early this month after he challenged the dissolution of state assembly in the Supreme Court.

Srinagar: Former BJP legislator from Jammu, Gagan Bhagat — who was expelled from the party early this month after he challenged the dissolution of state assembly in the Supreme Court — has accused the party leadership of being anti-Dalit and engaged in massive corruption.

“I was targeted for being Dalit and so were some other members,” he alleged on Thursday. “I was given the assignments and tasks as per my caste not as per my capabilities. BJP leadership in state is 100% anti-Dalit.” He alleged that the state BJP leadership was corrupt and was exploiting Kashmir and Pakistan to blackmail and loot Jammu division.

“Without linkages and money not a leaf moves within BJP. All the BJP minsters paid money for the ministerial berth,” Bhagat alleged. “I will expose all of them and tell you who gave money to whom,” he said. “I will tell who ordered transfers, gave jobs and made adjustments. I will counter all of them on facts. I know all the loopholes of BJP.”

The former legislator from frontier constituency of R S Pora in Jammu claimed that he would expose one state BJP leader every 10 days. He said the BJP in Jammu won seven seats because of Dalits and the BJP leadership in Jammu is not able to reconcile with this fact.
