RISHIKESH: Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today dropped hints that BJP may go to polls in Uttarakhand early next year without projecting anyone as a chief ministerial candidate.

The BJP would contest the coming polls on the party's symbol rather than a face in Uttarakhand, Pradhan said in reply to a question on the sidelines of an official programme at Noonawala village near Doiwala in Dehradun district.

Pradhan is one of the party's election incharge for Uttarakhand.

On demonetisation, Pradhan said the whole country is with the Prime Minister on the issue.

Pradhan was in Doiwala to distribute free LPG connections among eligible beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
