BJP hails SC SIR verdict, tells Rahul Gandhi to 'introspect'

New Delhi: Hailing the SC verdict on SIR, BJP on Wednesday hit out at Opposition parties and asked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to 'introspect'.

"Rahul Gandhi and the INDIA bloc, which have been continuously trying to spread confusion and politics in the country over the SIR process, now face a clear stance from the nation's highest court. The Supreme Court has explicitly declared the SIR process to be legal and constitutional," BJP posted on X.

Addressing a press conference here, BJP spokesman Sudhanshu Trivedi accused the Opposition of peddling lies on the SIR process. "This is a complete defeat of Congress, particularly Rahul Gandhi. Congress and the Opposition parties have collapsed across all three dimensions - ethical, political and constitutional," Trivedi said, adding Gandhi should "introspect and abandon the use of abusive language".
