BJP government weakening farmers in the state: Bhupinder Singh Hooda
JIND: Former Haryana Chief Minister and Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda today alleged that the BJP government in the state is working to financially weaken farmers in contrast with the former Congress government which worked towards improving their situation.

Speaking to journalists at Chhatar village today Hooda alleged the sugarcane farmers in the state have sent their crops to the mills but have not yet recieved a payment for it.

Hooda said Congress President Sonia Gandhi had herself visited many districts in the state and taken a stock of the damages incurred by the farmers in the aftermath of the unseasonal rains and hailstorms in Haryana.

Taking a jibe at Union Minister Birender Singh, Hooda said he can bring Union Minister Birendra Singh back in the fold of the Congress party.

Before the Assembly polls in the state Birender Singh had reportedly said that he could bring Hooda in the BJP fold.

Birender Singh had been a Congress member before he joined the BJP ahead of the 2014 Assembly election.
