BJP government ruining welfare schemes of previous regime: Ashok Gehlot

JAIPUR: Former Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot today alleged that the BJP government in the state was "ruining" all schemes launched during his tenure, which also included welfare schemes for the people of the SC community.

"The state BJP government is ruining all schemes of my tenure which included welfare schemes of SC people," Gehlot said here.

He was addressing a state-level meeting of party's Scheduled Caste cell.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajasthan Congress chief Sachin Pilot said, "Congress will try to improve the life of Dalits (SCs) and ensure that victim of atrocities get justice in the BJP rule."

"There should be all-round development of the people of SC community and for that the Congressmen are committed," Pilot said.

Meanwhile, AICC general secretary in SC-Cell, K Raju, alleged that atrocities against people of the Dalit community have risen in last nine months of BJP rule.

"In the last nine months of BJP rule, the cases of atrocities and crime against Dalits have risen sharply and there is a need to expose such cases for justice," he said.
