PATNA: Lashing out at MNS chief Raj Thackeray for his " anti-Bihari" remarks, the BJP today asked the Centre and Maharashtra government to take action against him.

Thackeray has been habitually and brazenly targeting the north Indian people, including those from Bihar, settled in Mumbai and elsewhere in Maharashtra, state unit BJP president C P Thakur told reporters.

Stating that the MNS chief's conduct and hate speech was a violation of the provisions of the constitution that allowed a citizen to live and work in any part of the country, he demanded that the Centre and the Maharashtra government should take strong action against the former.

Thakur said the BJP disapproved of Thackeray's behaviour and would like him to be punished under the law.
