BJP eyes inductions from TDP

Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Telangana chapter has accelerated efforts towards large scale inductions, mainly from Telugu Desam Party (TDP), on the eve of party working president JP Nadda’s visit to Hyderabad on Sunday.

This is being considered as part of the Mission 2023, eying power in Telangana by 2023.

Shah has decided to visit the state once a month to strengthen the party towards emerging as an effective opposition to the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS). Apart from winning four Lok Sabha seats, BJP also improved its voting share to 20% in Telangana from around 7%.


As a part of this, Telangana BJP is preparing to hold a large public meeting of Amit Shah on September 17, the day Telangana merged into the Indian republic from the Nizam, which the saffron party commemorates as the Telangana Liberation Day every year. Dozens of district and state level leaders of TDP have resigned from the party over the last few days.
