BJP establishes early leads in 31 seats

BANGALORE: With trends available for 60 out of the 224 seats, BJP was ahead in 31 constituencies with G Karunakara Reddy being among the prominent candidates who were leading.

Congress was leading in 19 while JD(S) was ahead in nine. An independent was leading in one segment.

Roshan Baig (Shivajinagar) and Srinivasa Gowda (Kolar) were among the Congress candidates who were marching ahead in their respective constituencies.

Former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy was ahead in Ramanagara by 926 votes.

Mandya MP M H Ambareesh of Congress was trailing in Srirangapatna.

Kumaraswamy's brother and former minister H D Revanna (JDS) was leading in Holenarasipura.

Anil Lad (Congress) was trailing in Bellary city, while former Deputy Chief Minister M P Prakash was behind in Harappanahalli.
