BJP demands strict action against those who unfurled Pak flag
The BJP today demanded strict action against those who had allegedly unfurled the Pakistani flag in the Kashmir valley during the agitation over the Amarnath land row.
Party President Rajnath Singh, at the "Vijay sankalp Rally" here, demanded action against those who had joined the separatists in the agitation over the allotment of land to the Amarnath Shrine Board and had allegedly unfurled the Pakistani flag in the valley.
Attacking the SP, BSP and the UPA, Singh said that it was the appeasement policy pursued by these parties which had boosted the morale of the terror outfits.
He said the BJP, if it came to power at the Centre, would implement POTA and also carry out the capital punishment on Parliament attack case convict Afzal Guru.
Stating that BJP government would put a stop on terrorist strikes, Singh said the few such incidents which had taken place during the NDA rule had seen motivated security forces striking back.
"There has been only three strikes during the NDA rule while there had been 18 such cases in the UPA rule till now which have claimed scores of innocent lives," he said.
Criticising the UPA government for unprecedented price rise and hardships faced by farmers, he said till now over 6000 farmers have committed suicide.
Referring to NDA government's "kisan credit card" scheme, Singh said that on coming to power, BJP would provide agriculture loans at four per cent to farmers.
