BJP demands inquiry into Bundelkhand economic package scam

LUCKNOW: Accusing the ruling BSP in Uttar Pradesh of indulging in irregularities in the financial package for Bundelkhand, BJP today demanded an inquiry under the supervision of High Court and immediate dismissal of the ministers involved in the scam.

"There was a big scam of Rs 7,200 crore in Bundelkhand package meant for poor farmers. We demand a high-level probe under High Court supervision and immediate dismissal of ministers involved in it," BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told reporters here.

He said a probe under the supervision of the High Court will unearth the scam in the Bundelkhand package.
