BJP delayed regularisation of unauthorised colonies: Mukesh Sharma

Sharma visited Sanjay Enclave and Prajapat Colony, where a number of national and international award winning potters reside, during his 'Vijay Vishwas' yatra.

NEW DELHI: Congress MLA from Uttam Nagar and parliamentary secretary to Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, Mukesh Sharma, today accused BJP of delaying the regularisation of unauthorised colonies in the national capital.

Terming BJP as anti-poor, Sharma said it had taken the support of Common Cause, an NGO which had moved the court against regularisation of the unauthorised colonies.

Sharma today visited Sanjay Enclave and Prajapat Colony, where a number of national and international award winning potters reside, during his ' Vijay Vishwas' yatra.

He said it was during BJP-led NDA government that the potters units in the area were sealed after the then administration had declared them as "polluting units".

The four-time Congress MLA said he had organized an agitation against the then Union Minister Jagmohan for closing down the potter's units.
