A Raja's speech questioning the idea of India as a nation and mentioning the cultural practices of different states has sparked controversy. The Supreme Court has also questioned Tamil Nadu Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin for his remarks against 'Sanatana Dharma'.
Amit Malviya, the head of Bharatiya Janata Party's IT cell, has taken a strong stance against DMK's A Raja for his recent remarks, accusing him of advocating for the Balkanisation of India and making derogatory comments about various aspects of Indian culture and beliefs. Malviya's criticism comes in the wake of a speech made by A Raja in Madurai, where he made controversial statements questioning the idea of India as a nation and disparaging Lord Ram, Manipuris, and the concept of unity in diversity.

In a post on social media platform X, Malviya expressed his concerns, stating, "The hate speeches from DMK's stable continue unabated. After Udhayanidhi Stalin's call to annihilate Sanatan Dharma, it is now A Raja who calls for balkanisation of India, derides Bhagwan Ram, makes disparaging comments on Manipuris and questions the idea of India, as a nation." He also criticized the silence of Congress and other INDI Alliance partners, including Rahul Gandhi, their potential Prime Ministerial candidate.

A Raja's speech, shared by Malviya, stirred controversy as he stated, "India is not a nation. Understand this well. India is never a nation. One nation means one language, one tradition, and one culture. Then only it is one nation." He further went on to highlight regional differences, stating, "India is not country it is a subcontinent. There are so many traditions and cultures."

Furthermore, A Raja's comments on Manipuris and their dietary habits drew criticism. He remarked, "Why in Manipur, as RS Bharathi said, they eat dog meat. Yes, it is true, they eat. That's a culture. There's nothing wrong. It's all in our mind."

In response to A Raja's speech, Malviya emphasized the importance of acknowledging diversity while maintaining unity. He stated, "Unity in diversity. We've differences. Acknowledge it."

A Raja also expressed his disagreement with the ideology of the BJP, particularly their emphasis on certain religious symbols. He stated, "If you say it's this God, this is Jai Sri Ram, this is Bharat mata ki jai, then we and Tamil Nadu will never accept Bharat Matha and Jai Shriram."

This controversy follows the recent questioning of Tamil Nadu Sports Minister and DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin by the Supreme Court regarding his remarks calling for the eradication of 'Sanatana Dharma'. The court expressed concern over Stalin's statements, highlighting the responsibilities that come with his position as a minister.
