BJP creating another Muzaffarnagar with eye on Panchayat polls: AAP
NEW DELHI: As communal tensions in BJP-ruled Haryana continue to simmer, the Aam Aadmi Party has prepared its own ‘fact finding’ report on the last week’s incident in Atali village which left nearly 250 Muslim families homeless and grievously injured at least two residents.

At a time when the BJP was desperately trying to corner the AAP-ruled Delhi government on various issues, a four-member team of party MLAs visited the tense village last week in an attempt to broker peace. It has blamed the Saffron party-ruled administration for the clashes in its report. “It (the clash between Muslims and Jats) happened entirely due to the negligence of the BJP administration.

For two days, homes were burning and the police did nothing. If an SP so wishes, no (crime) can happen in a district. Since May 26, all Muslim families are staying outside their homes since they were looted and damaged,” AAP’s Uttam Nagar MLA Naresh Balyan told ET on Sunday, a day after he had submitted the ‘fact finding’ report. AAP alleged BJP was creating another Muzaffarnagar with eye on upcoming Panchayat polls.
