BJP corner meets to give way to bigger rallies now
New Delhi: Focussing on personal connect with voters in the first phase of campaigning, BJP national president JP Nadda and home minister Amit Shah held small meetings across different constituencies in Delhi. Now, they will be holding larger meetings.

“Our first phase of campaign is getting over and we will start our second phase in next three –four days,” a senior BJP leader managing the party campaign told ET. “BJP leaders from different state and party MPs are supposed to join the campaign since January 31. These leader will then focus on small meetings while our central leadership will move towards large meetings.”

Shah and Nadda would be addressing three rallies every day in Delhi based on their availability. Besides, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Smriti Irani would join the campaign.


Gadkari would start campaigning from Wednesday and will be available for four days while Rajnath would address rallies for over a week. Irani would also campaign for five days. Starting February 1, UP chief minister Yogi Aditya Nath would join the campaign for four days and address around a dozen rallies.

PM Narendra Modi’s rallies will be finalised in two days. BJP’s focus is on rural areas along with Purvanchal voters.
