BJP, Congress spar over Lalit Modi tweets on Robert Vadra
NEW DELHI: Soon after the BJP lobbed a Lalit Modi Tweet saying he had “run into” Priyanka Gandhi and Robert Vadra at a London restaurant, the Congress leadership issued a statement saying the three never had a any “social meetings” and claimed that BJP was only using the tweet as “diversionary tactics”.

“I can say with full responsibility that neither Priyanka Gandhi nor Robert Vadra ever interacted with Lalit Modi socially. If you see somebody in a restaurant, it is not a crime…It is a diversionary tactics of BJP to turn the attention towards non-issues. The government, instead, should speak about real issues and not hide behind Lalit Modi,” AICC communication department head Randeep Singh Surjewala said at a press conference.

He as well AICC general secretary C P Joshi added that this tweet was a way of “‘Chhota Modi’ helping ‘bada Modi’ with “lies”. Yet given Robert Vadra’s controversy-prone streak and given Lalit Modi has been a well-networked person across political line before he left for Lodon, the loaded tweet has kept the party on the edge even its rivals are hopefully looking for what next on the Modi tweet.

Otherwise continuing with its attack on the Centre and PM on the LaMo scandal, C P Joshi re-cycled the issue of Vasundhara Raje government allotting some land in Rajasthan for the hospital where Lalit Modi’s wife was treated to argue that there was a clear case of “quid pro quo” in Raje signing the documents for Lalit Modi.

“We want the so-called decisive PM with zero tolerance to corruption to explain to the nation why is maintaining his silence,”Joshi said on the issue. The BJP and its government itself have become a taint now,” Joshi said.
