BJP chief demands inquiry by SC Judge into land scam

NEW DELHI: The Delhi BJP today demanded an inquiry by a retired Supreme Court Judge into the multi-crore land scam in the capital.

Terming the inquiry ordered by the Union Urban Development Ministry Ajay Maken into the land scam as "ridiculous", its president Harsh Vardhan said the alleged bungling in allotment of 'Jhuggis' should be inquired into by a retired Supreme Court Judge within a fixed time frame.

He alleged Congress leaders played a fraud on slum dwellers.

Harshvardhan claimed that the alleged kingpin of the multi-crore land scam, Ashok Malhotra, was in connivance with Congress leaders.
