BJP candidate Ashok Sahu in dock over hate speech

NEW DELHI: EC on Sunday directed Kandhamal DM to book BJP���s LS candidate Ashok Sahu under two more sections of IPC, along with the existing criminal cases against him.

EC asked the district administration to add sections 505 and 295 of IPC that defines places of worship and statement to create public mischief.

The district magistrate has already filed a criminal case against Sahu under section 125 of Representation of the People Act and 153 of IPC. The decision to add two more sections was taken at a meeting by EC after examination of CD containing his speech on Sunday.
