BJP blames UPA's "soft approach" for blasts in Jaipur
BJP tonight held the Congress-led Government's "soft approach" towards terrorism responsible for the deadly terror attacks in Jaipur as it condemned the serial bomb blasts which left at least 15 killed and scores injured.
BJP chief Rajnath Singh said the Jaipur bomb blasts were a "dangerous" indication of Pakistan-based terror groups spreading their activities into the country's hinterland and Hindi heartland.
"The Centre should make all possible efforts to curb such activities," he said while condemning the attacks.
Senior leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said such terror attacks were the result of the "weak policies" of a Government headed by a "weak Prime Minister and a "coward Home Minister".
He said the Centre neither shares intelligence inputs about such attacks with states nor alerts the states. "Be it the case of Rampur or Varanasi attacks, it is evident that the Centre does not share information," he told PTI.
"It is a complete failure of the UPA government," he added.
Another senior leader Arun Jaitely said such terror acts "must arouse a greater national desire of becoming a hard state and should increase the country's resolve to fight terror".
