Rajnath Singh and Nitin Nabin hit out at the Opposition over its “regime change” rhetoric.
BJP president Nitin Nabin said the Opposition wants to seize power at any cost and this is their real agenda. "The use of terms like 'regime change' has clearly exposed the true agenda of the Opposition before the nation. This nefarious attempt to destabilise India in collusion with foreign powers is part of the agenda of 'Urban Naxals'," Nabin posted on X.
"The Opposition's fight is not for electoral reforms, SIR, or the future of the country's youth, but rather to spread anarchy in the country and seize power at any cost... India's patriotic public and BJP will never allow any attempt to weaken the country's democratic system to succeed."
Union defence minister Rajnath Singh addressed a press conference in Lucknow where he criticised the Opposition for doing things that go against national interests. Singh appealed to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to rise above political self-interest to respect public opinion and choose the path of dialogue, cooperation and nation-building. "Promoting violence and anarchy in the name of political opposition goes against the national interest."
