BJP alleges nepotism, corruption in class 3,4 appointments in HP
SHIMLA: Opposition BJP in Himachal Pradesh today alleged large scale nepotism, corruption and regionalism in recruitments to class III and IV posts in the state.

Leader of the opposition PK Dhumal claimed the state government did not abide by the advice of the Union government to abolish interviews for class III and class IV jobs because "it did not want transparency".

"Corruption in recruitments would have ended if the interviews for class III and Class IV posts were abolished but the Congress government adopted a different agenda. But the BJP, after their return to power will cancel all such appointments and also order a probe into the irregularities," he said.

He claimed regionalism was rampant in recruitments in cooperative banks and alleged that "efforts are now being made to destroy the records".

"As per my information, even in class IV appointments, preference is being given to people from a particular region. Earlier also the Congress government had indulged in large scale irregularities in recruitments of forest guards and other posts," he said.
