BJP alleges harassment of Sadhvi
Sadhvi's lawyer would be filing a complaint before Human Rights.
MUMBAI: Maharashtra BJP on Monday alleged that Malegaon blast accused Sadhvi Pragya Singh, who is now in judicial custody, was being harassed and said that her lawyer would approach the state Human Rights Commission on the issue.
"Sadhvi's lawyer would be filing a complaint before Human Rights Commission tomorrow," state BJP spokesperson Madhav Bhandari told reporters here.
Sadhvi has been admitted to the J J Hospital in Mumbai after her health deteriorated. Her lawyer had claimed that the vegetarian Sadhvi found traces of eggs in her food last week, after which she took ill.
"There are some constitutional rights given to accused, but the authorities are not following them," Bhandari said, adding, she was forcibly served the eggs.
Sadhvi has lost eight kg in last 15 days due to this and the concerned officer should be punished for harassing her in this manner, he said.
Pragya Singh, along with ten others, is booked under MCOCA for September 29, 2008 blast in Malegaon in which six persons died
