BJP alleges Congress, Rahul undermining constitutional bodies
Following Rahul Gandhi's allegations of electoral roll irregularities in Karnataka, the BJP has strongly refuted the claims, labeling them as "bogus and fake." The BJP accuses Gandhi of consistently undermining constitutional institutions like the...

Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said the Congress and Rahul Gandhi only raise questions when they lose elections. "In Maharashtra, when the Congress alliance won the Lok Sabha polls, they praised the system. But after losing the Assembly elections, they suddenly have an issue with the voter list," he told reporters.
Referring to Gandhi's presentation at the press conference, Rijiju said it was merely a repetition of an NGO's claims, aimed at maligning the EC's image. "Yesterday, they were targeting the Supreme Court. Every time the outcome doesn't suit them, they begin attacking institutions," he said.
Calling the allegations "completely bogus and fake," Rijiju dismissed the Congress's charges.
BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra echoed the criticism, calling it "selective outrage" by the Congress.
"Rahul Gandhi and the Congress haven't held a single press conference in the states where they won recent elections. In Himachal Pradesh and Telangana, they didn't question the EC's integrity. But now they're crying foul," Patra said.
He pointed out that the Congress celebrated its 99-seat tally in the Lok Sabha, without raising any concerns over the electoral process. "If the EC is truly compromised, why celebrate those results? This inconsistency reveals their selective outrage," he added.
