BJP accepts Raja Singh's resignation, slams his allegations
The BJP has officially accepted the resignation of its Telangana MLA T Raja Singh, who had recently quit the party over its choice of the state president. In a strong reply, the party rejected Singh’s accusations, calling them irrelevant and not in line with the party’s values.

Raja Singh had expressed his anger over the likely appointment of Ramchander Rao as BJP's new Telangana president. In a letter dated June 30, he wrote to then-state president G Kishan Reddy, saying the decision had shocked and disappointed lakhs of BJP workers. He also said the letter should be considered his resignation.

BJP responds to his letter

On behalf of the party, BJP national general secretary Arun Singh responded to Raja Singh. He said the MLA’s letter had been shared with BJP national president JP Nadda.

Arun Singh wrote, “The contents mentioned by you are irrelevant and do not match the functioning, ideology and principles of the party.”

He also confirmed that, based on Nadda’s instructions, Raja Singh’s resignation was accepted with immediate effect.

Raja Singh is known for his controversial and outspoken nature. His resignation highlights internal disagreements within the BJP’s Telangana unit. However, the party seems firm in its stance, showing no signs of reconsidering its decision.
