PURI: Union Minister Prakash Javadekar today dubbed the Biju Janata Dal government in Odisha as a "PC" ( percentage commission) government and claimed it has lost credibility due to "rampant corruption" at all levels.

" Naveen Patnaik government has lost its credibility. It can be termed as a government of 'PC' as corruption is rampant and percentage commission is resorted to from top to bottom," the Union Human Resource Development Minister told reporters here.

In a stinging attack on Naveen Patnaik government, the senior BJP leader claimed that the BJD regime would soon make an exit with bag and baggage in Odisha as people have lost confidence and faith in it due to misrule and corruption.

Referring to the multi-crore chit-fund scam, Javadekar said the pozi scheme companies had cheated the people, but the BJD government is now taking the small investors for a ride.

Though the state government had announced formation of a Rs 300 crore corpus for those who lost money in chit-fund scam and claimed to have identified around 75,000 investors, nor a rupee has been given to any of the affected people so far, he claimed.

The senior BJP leader who is on a two-day visit to this pilgrim town since yesterday to review party activities in Puri Lok Sabha constituency claimed that people have come to realise that they are now being cheated by the BJD government.

The Union Minister also alleged that large-scale corruption is taking place in implementation of different Central schemes in Odisha and claimed the state government has put up a dismal show in taking its own programmes to people.

Javadekar, who reviewed organisational activities of BJP in the seven assembly segments under Puri Lok Sabha constituency, said he was optimistic about victory of party candidates in all seats even if elections are advanced and held in 2018.
