Biman Bose accuses TMC of abducting LF elected representatives

KOLKATA: Left Front Chairman Biman Bose on Monday accused the ruling Trinamool Congress of abducting LF elected representatives to stop them forming gram panchayats where they were victorious in the recently concluded panchayat polls in West Bengal.


"There are several instances where TMC goons have abducted elected LF representatives to stop them forming gram panchayats and panchayat samities where we have won," Bose told reporters here.

"It is a dangerous trend. Such things have never occurred before in Bengal," he said.

Bose also accused a section of the police of not taking action and being mute spectators to the development.
