Bill to set up two IISERs introduced in Lok Sabha

NEW DELHI: A Bill to establish two Indian Institutes of Science, Education and Research ( IISERs) - one in Tirupati and another in Berhampur - was introduced in the Lok Sabha today.

The National Institutes of Technology, Science Education and Research (Second Amendment) Bill, 2016 was introduced in the House by HRD minister Prakash Javadekar.

The bill seeks to incorporate the two IISERs - one at Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh and another at Berhampur in Odisha - in the Act.
