Former President Bill Clinton predicts that Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama will win the November election pretty handily.

NEW YORK: Former President Bill Clinton predicts that Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama will win the November election ``pretty handily.''

Clinton and Obama met for lunch on Thursday at Clinton's office in New York. The two shared small talk about Clinton's commute from nearby Chappaqua, New York, while a group of reporters and photographers looked on.

The former president notes that he is traveling to Florida later this month to campaign for Obama. Obama tells reporters, ``We're putting him to work.''

Clinton says, ``I predict that Sen. Obama will win and win pretty handily.''

Obama says, ``He knows a little something about politics.''
