Bihar's JD(U) MLA Shyambahadur Singh caught on camera dancing with girls

PATNA: He is not someone shackled by moral codes, so he openly danced to merriment in the company of ‘nautch’ girls. It’s not something easily done by law makers in India, but ruling JD(U) MLA Shyambahadur Singh is no ordinary MLA. He is known for his Bohemian ways.

The MLA from Barhariya was caught on camera dancing with girls at a marriage function in Gopalganj district. Local channels kept on airing the footage causing a huge embarrassment for the ruling party.

The MLA, however, sought to downplay the controversy saying he only danced with the performing artistes. “There were not bar girls as alleged. I have not committed any mistake. It is a routine practice for elders to dance in marriage functions in our region.

It is not a sin,” he claimed. In 2010, he was involved in a similar controversy when TV channels showed him dancing with women again. The JD(U) subsequently served a show-cause notice, besides censoring him strongly.

All this comes when three BJP ministers in Karnataka had to demit office after they were caught on camera watching porn videos on their mobile sets.
