Bihar polls: LJP's Chirag Paswan says discontented that LJP did not get seats as per formula
NEW DELHI: The Ram Vilas Paswan-led LJP has said that it has no anger but only discontent after seats for the National Democratic Front finalised seats for the Bihar assembly polls. The 'clarification' came after a late Monday intervention by BJP president Amit Shah.

"There was no anger but discontent as there was a difference in the seat sharing formula agreed earlier and what was announced yesterday. So we were taken aback… We were not angry but definitely there were concerns in the party. We were shocked. There is no smoke without fire," chairman of LJP's parliamentary board and Ram Vilas Paswan's son, Chirag Paswan, said.

Chirag Paswan, however, maintained that his party continued to have reservations over HAM's candidates in his constituency, Jamui. He is against HAM fielding LJP renegades as candidates in his Lok Sabha constituency. "Yes, we have objections to some names. Yes, the reservations remain. We have written to the BJP chief regarding it. As long as the issue is not resolved after discussions, the reservations remain," Chirag said when asked if LJP still had reservations about renegades contesting on HAM tickets in the upcoming polls.
