Bihar politics: Janata Parivar meet by January end in Delhi
NEW DELHI: Bihar JD(U) president Bashistha Narayan Singh has said that leaders of JD(U), RJD, SP, JD(S), INLD and Samajwadi Janata Party would meet in Delhi by the month end to discuss the merger of these parties.

“We will move forward on this (merger) at the next meeting at the end of January. In principle we are all agreed that we must come together, what name the party will be called, what would be its symbol are to be decided, that will take time,” Singh told ET.

Though all attempts would be made to merge the parties at one go, the hurdles in its wake may make it necessary to face the Bihar polls with only JD(U) and RJD having merged, he added. “Whatever happens, we are fighting polls together, leaders of all parties will campaign in Bihar. If the merger hasn’t happened by then, results in Bihar will show the effect of fighting jointly at the state and national level,” he said.
