Bihar plans for skill development of 1 crore people by 2016-17
The Bihar government today set a target for skill development of one crore people in the state by 2016-17.

A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of Human Resources Development Mission presided over by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Chief Secretary A K Sinha said that the meeting took stock of human resources development index in the state and what it should be after five years.
A future roadmap would be prepared in the next two months to achieve the target, an official release said.
Sinha said for this 20 universities in the state would be made centres of excellence for the purpose.
BED, BBA and MBA courses would be launched in affiliated colleges.
A committee would be formed under Principal Secretary Education for the purpose, he added.
