Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Prasad Yadav meets Nitin Gadkari
Yadav today met Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and pressed for the completion of pending projects in the state, including the reconstruction of a bridge over Ganga river at an estimated cost of Rs 2800 crore.

"It was a positive meeting. During the 45-minutes long discussion, we talked about a number of steps that are needed to be taken for the development of Bihar. I also recalled to Gadkari ji, the promises made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bihar in the run up to the Assembly polls there.
"There is a need to fufill those promises. We need to work for the developent of the state keeping politics aside. I also underlined the need to speed up some road construction projects. There are issues of land acquisition, which we will sort out. We had a discussion regarding this also," Yadav told PTI on phone after meeting Gadkari.
The issues discussed during the meeting, include approval to upgrade 54 state highways into national highways, giving approval in this financial year itself for reconstruction of Mahatma Gandhi river bridge at an estimated cost of Rs 2800 crore, gradually increasing the annual allotment in the NH head to the state from Rs 600 crore to Rs 2000 to Rs 4000 crore and re-planning of some road projects.
